In a fresh diplomatic offensive against India, China has claimed to have renamed 11 places in Arunachal Pradesh.

Beijing claims that Arunachal is a part of China, and calls it South Tibet.

The places 'renamed' by China include two residential areas as well as five mountain peaks, two rivers, and two land areas, as per reports.

Beijing had earlier attempted similar stunts in April 2017 and December 2021, which were rejected by India.
