In what to could further escalate the tension between the two countries, Canada has decided to probe the alleged interference by India in the country's elections.

Canada had formed an inquity committee in 2023 to look into allegations of China's interference in its elections and now the panel is expanding its probe to look into whether India had any role in influencing the polls in 2019 and 2021.
