Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has said that the BJP is no less than the Palestinian militant outfit Hamas.
He was reacting to Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma's remark targeting NCP chief Sharad Pawar over the Israel-Palestine issue.
"[Himanta Biswa Sarma] belongs to a party which is no less than Hamas. Terrorism...misusing agencies....[Sarma] should first read and understand history. He is a part of BJP and should know former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee's stand on Palestine-Israel," Raut said.
This comes after Sarma said that it seems like Pawar will send his daughter Supriya Sule to Gaza to fight for the militant group.
The row erupted after the NCP chief criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for showing solidarity with Israel, saying that it's unfortunate that the PM neglected the real issue as former prime ministers of India also “stood firmly with Palestine”.
