A city in Australia has reportedly cancelled permission for a Khalistan referendum propaganda event.

The Blacktown City Council scrapped the event planned by Sikhs For Justice, which is banned in India.

The city council received hundreds of complaints about threats allegedly posed by the event, as per reports cited by news agency ANI.

The decision was taken after consulting Australian security agencies.
