An Indian national was shot dead by Australian police on 28 February 2023. He was identified as Mohamed Rahmathullah Syed Ahmed from Tamil Nadu.
32-year-old Ahmed was fatally shot after he allegedly stabbed a cleaner at a train station in Sydney.
He was accused of also threatening and trying to attack law enforcement officers. Police fired 3 shots at him, 2 of which hit him in the chest.
