Police detained protesters in London on Saturday ahead of the coronation of King Charles III.
According to Republic, an anti-monarchy pressure group, five members of its team have been detained.
Several of the group’s members were stopped near Trafalgar Square and led to police vans.
Earlier this week, police were given new powers through Royal Assent that can see protestors get up to 12 months in prison for blocking roads, airports or railways and six months for "locking on" to others, objects or buildings.
