The Algerian parliament reportedly authorised the country's president, Abdel Majid Tebboune, to go to war with Israel.
The motion received unanimous support from the lawmakers. The voting session of parliament was accompanied by long slogans in support of the Palestinian people.
Earlier, Yemen had officially declared war against Israel.
The developments come amid Israel's ongoing offensive in Gaza which has led to a severe humanitarian crisis in the region.
