World Happiness Index 2021: Finland tops list, India ranks at 139, Pak happier at 105

India has ranked 139 out of 149 countries in the list of UN World Happiness Report 2021 released on Friday. Interestingly, Pakistan and Bangladesh are both happier at higher ranks of 105 and 101.

Finland topped the list, ranked as the happiest country in the world for the 4th time in a row, followed by Scandanavian nations like Iceland, Denmark, Switzerland among others.

The World Happiness Report 2021, issued by the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network, focuses on the effects of Covid-19 and how people all over the world have fared. The report assesses countries based on 'how happy their citizens perceive themselves to be'.
