Women's World Cup: Italy beat China, move to quarterfinals

Italy defeated China 2-0 to qualify for the quarterfinals of the Women's World Cup on Tuesday. Italy, which had failed to qualify the prestigious tournament since past 20 years, continued their dream run after cruising past China. The Italian side has entered quarterfinals for the first time since the inaugural FIFA World cup in 1991. Valentina Giacinti and Aurora Galli netted a goal for Italy in each half. Italy will play the Netherlands in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
