New Zealand skipper, Kane Williamson has been ruled out of the 2nd Test against England due to his elbow injury. The 2nd Test was set to take place at Edgbaston, starting June 10. While Tom Latham will lead the side, Will Young has been introduced to the team as Williamson's replacement.

Calling it a tough decision Gary Stead, NZ head coach said that the decision was taken with the ICC Test Championship in mind, and added that the Kiwi Batsman will be hopefully ready to face India starting June 18th.

The Kiwi batsman who had suffered the injury in March made him miss the Bangladesh ODI series and a few matches in the IPL 2021.
