Investors poured over Rs 10,000 cr into equity mutual funds in May, making it the highest inflow since the pandemic hit.
Investors added money into equity schemes for the third straight month of inflows, but pulled money out of debt schemes.
The multi-cap fund category saw the highest inflows of ₹1,954 cr, popular low-cost index funds also saw inflows of ₹1,240 crore, while international funds garnered ₹2,424 crore, owing to a couple of new fund offerings.
In the fixed income space, large chunk of the money was redeemed from overnight and liquid funds. Debt funds lost ₹4,512 crore in May.
