The IOC has been constantly warning the International Wrestling Federation and the International Boxing Association of fixing their doping and corruption issues to maintain their participation in the quadrennial event. IOC has also asked the Modern Pentathalon to remove equestrian jumping from the event after a coach punched a horse at the Tokyo 2020.

While Bach warned AIBA and IWF for Paris 2024, Pentathalon's 2024 participation is confirmed but 2028 is under threat.
