Israel and Hamas have agreed to extend their temporary truce, which has so far enabled the exchange of multiple prisoners.
The extension was set to expire at 7AM on Nov. 30. The renewal announcement was made just minutes before the deadline.
The terms of the pause are unchanged. Hamas will free 10 Israeli hostages per day in exchange for Israel’s release of 30 Palestinian prisoners.
As of Nov. 29, Hamas freed 73 Israelis, including dual nationals, during the 6-day truce. Another 24 hostages- 23 Thais and 1 Filipino- were freed.
Israel has so far released 210 Palestinians during the truce, as per CNN. Those released were mostly women and children.
The news comes as international pressure to extend the ceasefire mounts. US Secretary of State arrived in Israel for the third time since the war.
Over 14,000 Palestinians have been killed in the war, Hamas said. Israel reported nearly 1,400 deaths, mostly during the initial Hamas attack.
