Do Not Pressurise Yourself

In the heat, you may not be able to exercise like before. However, that is okay. Make sure to take it slow and not over-exert yourself.

Do Not Exercise in The Afternoon

Avoid exercising during the hottest part of the day, especially afternoons and early evenings.

Know When To Stop

If you are not feeling too well, make sure to stop. Make sure not to push yourself too hard during the hot season.

Wear Light Coloured Clothes

Try wearing light-coloured clothes when exercising. Black and other dark colours store heat and make the body warmer.

Avoid Hyper Hydration

Drinking too much water will lead to hyperhydration, which can cause low sodium concentrations in the blood.

Avoid Excessive Proteins

Reduce your protein intake to a minimum before exercising in the heat. Ensure not to eat more than 20 grams of protein.

Take A Cold Shower

Take a cold shower before heading for a workout session. This will reduce your body's temperature.

Use A Cold Towel

You can soak a lightweight hand towel in a bowl of water. Wriggle the cloth and freeze it for an hour. Use it before heading to the gym.
