The actor married businessman Ashwin K. Verma on February 6, 2013. The couple has a son.

Ganguly has established herself as one of the highest-paid television actresses in India. She reportedly charges Rs 3 lakh per episode for 'Anupamaa'.

On Wednesday, May 1, the actor joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Her addition to the saffron party comes months after she met with PM Modi.
