The film’s budget is estimated to be Rs 178 crores. Karan reportedly spent 160 crores on production and another 18 crores on print and publicity.
The 2 hours, 48 minutes, and 33 seconds film has been granted U/A certificate. It will release in 2000 screens in India & 300 screens overseas.
Digital rights reportedly sold to Prime Video for ₹80 cr, satellite rights to Colors for ₹50 crores & music rights to Saregama for ₹30 cr.
Advance booking opened on July 24 and if reports are to be believed the film reportedly sold 13,000 tickets within 24 hours.
The film will explore Rocky and Rani’s cross-cultural relationship complete with their families.
Besides Ranveer and Alia, the film also stars Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan.
The romantic drama will release in theatres on July 28.
