PM Modi announces 4 Gaganyaan Mission Astronauts. The mission aims at demonstrating the capability to send humans to space and bring them back safely.
The mission plans to send a female robot in the first and second missions before sending a crew of 3 members to space
The Gaganyaan mission approximately costs Rs 9023 crore.
After Chandrayaan, L&T is working on Gaganyaan. Tata Elxsi will design crew module recovery models & KCP has delivered IADT Crew Module.
LVM3 rocket is identified as the launch vehicle which will likely be launched by 2025 and send the first astronaut to the moon by 2040.
