From mannequins to cardboard cut-outs of fans, many sporting events have resorted to different ways to fill in the empty seats as leagues resume behind closed doors to curb the spread of coronavirus. But the Korean Baseball Organization took it a step further and replaced fans with stuffed animals. During a game between the NC Dinos and the Hanwha Eagles on Sunday, Spongebob and Pikachu were among many other characters who were seen in the stands. It proved to be an instant viral ploy as sports fans gave it a thumbs up.
