A newly-wed couple in Punjab got a pleasant surprise as chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi stopped his car after spotting the couple and blessed them.
The chief minister was passing through the Mandi Kalan village during his visit to Bathinda when he saw a wedding party. He stopped his vehicle and met the couple and their relatives.
In a video tweeted by the Punjab government's handle, the CM can be seen wishing the couple. He then also takes a bite of the sweets offered by the relatives of the couple.
The new CM is trying to show himself to be accessible to the people and is being seen mingling with them since taking over. His predecessor was accused of being unapproachable to people.
