After Barcelona clinched their first title in 2 seasons, about a dozen media outlets showed up at the Canaletes fountain at the iconic Las Ramblas boulevard expecting fans to defy the city's night curfew due to the Covid-19 pandemic and celebrate the victory at their usual meeting point.

But besides the press, the only people at the historic fountain were the city's cleaning services and the occasional food delivery workers.

Earlier, Lionel Messi's brace helped Barcelona beat Athletic Bilbao 4-0 to win the Copa del Rey, giving Ronald Koeman his first title as coach of the Catalan club.
