Choas prevailed at Mumbai airport on Friday amid a rush of flyers and poor crowd management.
Several passengers missed flights and tweeted images and videos of long queues and large crowds at the airport blaming poor management.
Bollywood music composer Vishal Dadlani vented out his frustration in a tweet: "Endless milling crowds, machines breaking down, tempers frayed, chaos everywhere".
Several other complained that it took them at least an hour to enter the airport and check-in. There were long queues for security checks as well.
Airlines also alerted passenger to report early in the wake of rush at the airport. In a tweet, IndiGo said: Heavy rush at Mumbai and Chennai airports. Passengers are advised to report early to allow sufficient time for security check."
