In some relief for the BCCI, 15 members of the groundstaff at the Wankhede Stadium tested negative for Covid-19. A source in the MCA told IANS on Monday that they have been put in the Wankhede Stadium bubble while the 2 persons who had tested positive last week have been placed under home quarantine.
The association has a total of 40 groundstaff. Though all IPL matches in Mumbai this year will be played at the Wankhede Stadium, players are practicing at the other stadiums in Bandra and in Kandivali.
The BCCI had anyway made it clear that it's now too late to shift the scheduled IPL games out of Mumbai.
