In a normal year, the Venice Film Festival, which is the oldest film festival in the world, would usually see the red carpet bustling with stars, photographers, critics and fashionistas.
But 2020 has something totally different in store for the festival. The film festival, which is now in its 77th years begins on the 2nd of September. It needs to navigate through the coronavirus crisis while retaining the lustre.
It will be the first film festival to take place ever since the global pandemic began.
All safety precautions will be in place including a fan-free red carpet, limited seating and thermal scanners.
