Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant who hails from Uttarakhand has decided to donate his match fee from the current Chennai Test vs England to help in the relief efforts for those who are affected by the glacier burst tragedy in the state.
Pant tweeted to say, "My sincere condolences and prayers for the families of those affected by the Uttarakhand flash floods. I hope that the rescue operations underway are able to help those in trouble".
A hydro-power plant in Chamoli district was washed away with the impact of the glacier burst and as many as 125 residents and workers in nearby villages are said to be missing.
