Automakers in the US have reportedly urged lawmakers to help boost semiconductor production amid the ongoing chip shortage. Reports say the chip scarcity is causing losses to the tune of 330,000 production units in the US. Automakers and big chipmakers like TSMC have warned that the crisis could continue into 2022.
