UP custodial death: case filed against unidentified policemen

A case has been filed against unidentified policemen over the death of a 22-year-old man in police custody in Uttar Pradesh's Kasganj district. 

The FIR was filed after a written complaint from Chand Miyan, the father of Altaf, the man who police claims died by suicide inside the police station's bathroom.

5 policemen have been suspended in the case on the grounds of negligence. 

Altaf was brought to the police station on Monday for questioning in a case connected to kidnapping of a girl last week. 

Meanwhile, the girl who was allegedly kidnapped by Altaf was found on Friday. The police is yet to record her statement.
