Despite protesters repeatedly creating ruckus, at least 550 women have registered for Lord Ayyappa's darshan when the Sabarimala hill shrine opens for a two-month pilgrimage season next week. These women between the age group of 10 to 50 years have registered online through a portal launched by the Kerala police. A few days before the temple reopens, the Supreme Court will take up multiple review petitions challenging its verdict barring gender discrimination at the shrine.
