In a major blow for the Indian Premier League, leading umpire - Nitin Menon has pulled out of the competition. According to PTI, Menon who is from Indore has rushed home to attend to his wife and mother who tested positive for Covid-19. Menon is the only Indian in ICC's Elite Panel of Umpires and received a lot of praise for his work during recent India vs England series. Australia's Paul Reiffel had also decided to withdraw from the IPL but has been unable to fly out of India. According to reports in the Australian media, Reiffel will now serve out the remainder of the competition and return home only after the conclusion of the tournament.
