Maharashtra governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari has written to the state chief minister Uddhav Thackeray asking him to allow places of worship to open in the state that have been shut since March due to Covid outbreak. In his cryptic letter, Koshiyari has asked the CM if he has got a divine premonition to keep the places of worship shut when they have been opened in other parts of the country. Reminding Uddhav of his Hindutva roots, the governor asked if the CM had turned secular, a term he hated earlier. In a strong reply, the CM said that his Hindutva "doesn't need any verification", adding that "as imposing lockdown all of a sudden was not right, revoking it completely at once will also be not a good thing.
