Manchester United had an excellent start to their Champions League campaign as they beat last season's runners-up Paris St-Germain 2-1 on Tuesday night. Bruno Fernandes put United ahead in the 23rd minute as he successfully completed from the spot. But Anthony Martial headed an own goal, helping PSG level in the second-half. It seemed that the two sides would share points but Marcus Rashford had other plans. Assisted by Paul Pogba, Rashford netted a winner in the dying minutes and helped the Red Devils take maximum points in their opening game. Paris St-Germain on the other hand suffered a home defeat in a Champions League group game for the first time in 25 games.
