In a rare find, scientists at the Giraffe Conservation Foundation were surprised to spot two giraffe dwarves in Namibia and Uganda.
Most giraffes grow between 15-20 feet, but back in 2018, scientists found an 8 1/2 foot giraffe in Namibia and 3 years before that, they spotted a 9-foot-3-inch tall giraffe in Uganda.
The paper, published recently in the British Medical Journal, stated that both giraffes had long necks but short legs. The condition called skeletal dysplasia is rare in wild animals, the report said.
