Toyota India has revealed the launch date of its first subcompact SUV in India, the Urban Cruiser. The new offering will be launched on September 23, 2020, and the company is already accepting bookings since last month for a token amount of Rs. 11,000. The new Urban Cruiser is based on the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza but comes with a new grille design while more features are offered as standard over the Maruti offering. The SUV will be offered with the 1.5-litre K-Series petrol engine with 103 bhp and 138 Nm of peak torque on offer. The Urban Cruiser will be sold in both manual and automatic transmission options with prices expected to start from Rs. 8.35 lakh (ex-showroom).
