Top Sri Lankan police official arrested over 'assassination plot'

A top Sri Lankan policeman has been arrested over a suspected plot to assassinate President Maithripala Sirisena according to Reuters. Nalaka De Silva was taken into custody after five days of questioning and has been accused of plotting to kill the president, several senior police officials, and a former defence secretary.
