World number one archer Deepika Kumari finished 9th in the women's ranking round as Archery action began at the Tokyo Olympics.
Deepika shot 663 points out of possible 720. She was seventh in the second-last round and could score only 54 points in the last set, that saw her drop two places.
It was a mixed-bag performance by the 27-year-old, she was sitting comfortably in the fourth position at the end of the first half but failed to continue that in the second-half, that saw her drop down the points table.

Deepika will now face Bhutan's Karma in the first round (Round of 64) of the Women's Individual Recurve Event, starting July 27 in Tokyo.
