TMC-BJP clashes turn violent in Bengal, 9 injured

9 people have been injured as clashes turned violent, between supporters of the BJP and the TMC in Birbhum district of West Bengal. Three people have suffered serious injuries and have been rushed to nearby hospitals. Paramilitary troops reportedly resorted to aerial firing at a poll booth in Birhum's Dubrajpur to control the crowd. The firing happened after TMC workers allegedly tried to enter the booth with mobile phones. A Trinamool delegation is expected to move the Election Commission over poll violence in the state.
