In an unusual sighting, thousands of octopuses were found in the deep sea in California. The discovery was by chance after a 35-hour expedition by explorers. Most of the octopuses were brooding and protecting their eggs, confirming that they were females. The eggs were placed on the rocks, 10,000 feet below the ocean's surface.
