Exploring the painful impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, Argentine sculptor Marcelo Toledo is creating artwork out of waste masks and syringes collected from hospitals and laboratories.
His new exhibitions titled “Museum of the After” also features newspaper clippings about the pandemic, medical parts, old vaccines and more.
The artwork goes on display this September at a public space in downtown Buenos Aires.
The aim of the artist is to transform pain into beauty.
