World number 3 & 2nd seed dismissed India's top-ranked singles player in straight sets 6-3, 6-3, 6-2 as the match was over in just less than 2 hours. Thiem hardly broke a sweat in the match as he next plays Spain's Jaume Munar in the 3rd round.
