Given the huge amount of food that gets wasted globally, two Dutch girls are doing their bit to reverse the trend. They have launched a company called Upprinting Food that turns wasted food products into delicious 3D-printed snacks. Ingredients like bread crumbs and spices are mashed to create a paste that is injected into a 3D printer. The final product is an edible snack, which is baked to ensure it is safe for consumption. The duo has also created several recipes to use leftover fruits and vegetables.
