Authorities in Turkey are investigating the appearance of a monolith that has made its way mysteriously to the south east of the country.

The metal structure was spotted by farmers in Sanliurfa Province, with words written in the old Turkic script. It read ' Look at the Sky, see the moon'.

The monolith is about 10 feet high and was seen near Gobekli Tepe, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Authorities are looking through CCTV footage and checking vehicles that may have transported the monolith.
