The Mushroom Lady in Uttarakhand is changing lives

Divya Rawat, a woman from Dehradun is changing people’s lives through mushroom farming. She has devised indigenous and innovative ways of growing the macro fungi. To make the process cost-effective, she began a hanging method with bamboo racks. Mushrooms are grown indoors to prevent crop damage. By providing employment to farmers, she hopes to make Uttarakhand the mushroom capital of India.
