For the first time ever since its new look was revealed, the Big Ben Bell on the clock tower will ring at midnight on New Year's Eve. The restoration work will be completed only in 2021 and the Elizabeth Tower has been covered in scaffolding for the past two years. A part of the scaffolding was removed in March to unveil the new look of the clock with blue numerals and hands, believed to be its original colour.
