Ronnie Screwvala's upGrad is upscaling its investor portfolio to be the next unicorn in the edtech world. Singapore-based investment company Temasek has invested $120 million into the six-year-old learning platform, the first external funding since its debut. Valuation for the start-up was not disclosed but Bloomberg quoted co-founder Ronnie Screwvala saying “We are not quite a unicorn but we’ll get there soon”. In the edtech space, Byjus and Unacademy have already achieved the unicorn status.
