A Goa court on Friday acquitted founder and former editor of the Tehelka magazine, Tarun Tejpal, of all charges in a rape case.

Tejpal was accused of sexually assaulting a junior colleague in 2013 on the sidelines of a conference at a five-star resort in Goa.

The Goa police registered an FIR against Tejpal in November 2013 following which he was arrested.

He has been out on bail since May 2014.

In 2017, the court had charged him with rape, sexual harassment, and wrongful confinement.
