The Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat has said that technology was an important aspect to tackle an 'aggressive' China.
Delivering a lecture on Wednesday, General Rawat while laying emphasis on cyber capability and artificial intelligence, said the character and nature of wars have changed.
Showing concern about India's northern adversary, China, he noted, 'they have shown aggression on the east coast in the South China Sea with nations in that area, therefore, they are likely to show aggression on our northern borders too.'
On the global situation, he observed that the world was in turmoil and the rise of China happened faster than the world had anticipated.
