Wordle: The Party Game is the name given to the multiplayer board game version of the popular word guessing game. It will be launched on October 1.
The game, which is usually played alone on a smartphone screen, will be transformed into a social activity.
The New York Times, which purchased Wordle earlier this year, is teaming up with American toy firm Hasbro to launch Wordle: The Party Game.
The multiplayer board game based on Wordle will be published in North America on October 1. The game is available for pre-order for $19.99.
Wordle consists of guessing one five-letter word per day in six attempts. By early November, the popular word guessing game, which debuted in October 2021, had only 90 participants. This year, it skyrocketed in popularity, with millions of people around the world playing it.
According to the New York Times, it will also address the most common worry of gamers losing streaks when switching devices. Wordle will soon have the ability to link Wordle stats to the user's NYT account.
This will save a player's stats and streak across all devices where they play Wordle. However, the publisher has not specified a release date for the sync option.
