WhatsApp Companion Mode has started rolling out to iOS users, enabling them to link up to four other devices, including smartphones.

The feature allows messages received on your primary smartphone to be delivered on those linked to it.

The feature has cross-platform support, so you can link your iOS device to your existing WhatsApp account on an Android phone, or vice versa.

To use WhatsApp Companion Mode on iPhone, here's what you need to do:

  1. First, make sure you have installed or updated to the 23.10.76 version of the app.
  2. Then, open the app and select the "Or link this device to an existing account" option, which will generate a QR code.
  3. Next, open WhatsApp on your primary smartphone and tap the settings (iOS) or three-dot menu icon (Android), then select "Linked Devices" and choose "Link with QR code."
  4. Finally, use your other smartphone to scan the QR code displayed on your iPhone to complete the linking process.
