According to a report by WaBetaInfo, WhatsApp is introducing "Status Archive," a new feature designed for businesses. It enables businesses to share their past status updates with customers. Currently, in beta testing for WhatsApp Business on Android, the feature will gradually roll out to more users in the coming weeks. If enabled, users will receive a notification banner within the Status tab. Once enabled, status updates will be archived on the device after 24 hours. Users can manage their archive preferences and access them directly from the Status tab menu. The archive remains private and will only be visible to the business. This feature empowers businesses to republish important updates from their archive and enhance their operations. Archived status updates will be stored for up to 30 days, allowing businesses to utilise them for advertising on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram until they expire.
