Sony has introduced the PlayStation Portal remote player, priced at $199.99 or roughly Rs 16,500. It has an 8-inch LCD screen, allowing users to play PS5 games. It also supports 1080p resolution at 60fps and provides adaptive triggers and haptic feedback.
The PlayStation Portal is designed for scenarios where the main TV is already used. It employs remote play over Wi-Fi to connect to a PS5 console. It is also compatible with the Dualsense controller and includes a 3.5mm audio jack for audio output. However, it's worth noting that the device does not support PS VR2 games or games streamed via PlayStation Plus Premium's cloud streaming.
In addition to the PlayStation Portal, Sony released the Pulse Elite wireless headset and Pulse Explore wireless earbuds. Both audio devices incorporate PlayStation Link technology to offer low latency and high-quality audio. The Pulse Elite headset features lossless audio, a retractable boom mic, and noise rejection. The Pulse Explore earbuds are also equipped with dual microphones and noise rejection.
The Pulse Elite and Pulse Explore can connect to various devices, not just the PlayStation Portal. They use PlayStation Link technology to connect to PS5, PC, Mac, or Bluetooth-enabled mobile devices, enhancing the overall audio experience during gameplay.
The Pulse Explore earbuds are priced at $199 (approximately Rs 16,430), while the Pulse Elite headset is available for $149 (around Rs 12,399). Indian availability and pricing are yet to be announced
