Samsung Display has unveiled a range of displays that aim to enhance the portability of mobile devices without sacrificing screen size. One such display is the Rollable Flex, which can unfurl like a scroll from 1.9 inches to 10 inches. This innovation allows large-sized displays to become more portable. The company also showcased new folding screen designs suitable for smartphones, potentially to be used in future Samsung and Google devices. The Flex In & Flex Out screen can fold inward like a book or outward for partial display use, eliminating the need for an external panel. Samsung also demonstrated the Flex Hybrid, which combines folding and sliding technologies to maximise smartphone screen space. Alongside these advancements, Samsung introduced the Sensor OLED screen that integrates fingerprint scanning and cardiovascular health monitoring. By placing fingers on the display, the screen measures blood vessel contraction and provides health information. While release dates for devices featuring these displays remain unknown, they are expected to be higher in price. The Sensor OLED display is unlikely to replace smartwatch health tracking in the near future.
